Definition

The NPV of standard unit costs is a result value within NPV calculation for new transactions. The costs are not discounted since the discounting is offset by price increases.

Use

The system determines the (standard) unit costs assigned to the transaction during its term. This includes all unit costing types, both those unit costs which are immediately allocated and those which are equally distributed. The cost incurral types are 'start', 'end', 'continual' and 'distributed'. The start, end, and distribution costs are simply added together: the continual unit costs are valued using the number of reporting periods in the term.
