Definition
The initial margin represents the amount to be deposited as collateral when certain products are purchased or sold. The initial margin total corresponds to the sum of all the initial margin amounts in a position.
Use
The total of the initial margins is transferred in the external data transfer during the calculation of the current total of the initial margin in the effected position. The total of the initial margin is in the same currency as the contract, which means in the position currency.
