Documentation
Use
Commissions are not calculated in IS-B. You can transfer four different commission amounts to IS-B per transaction and distribute these amounts over the reporting periods. In each case the system requires two items
- the number of reporting periods over which to distribute the amount
- the commission amount which is to be distributed
The two fields are available four times in each case. The commission amount for the period is determined within periodic costing using the values in the two fields.
The system distributes the amount evenly, provided the number of periods is greater than 1. With equal distribution, the portion assigned to the reporting period is determined by dividing the amount still to be distributed by the number of remaining periods.
Both the amount and the number of periods are automatically adjusted during the distribution process:
- The amount distibuted to the period is subtracted from the distribution amount
- In parallel with this, the number of periods is successively reduced by one period
Maintenance
If a commission amount is newly transferred before the system has fully distributed the existing commission, the existing amount is overwritten. The number of periods is then adjusted to match the number of distribution periods for the newly transferred amount.
