Definition
The average volume of an opportunity is determined as equal to the average volume of transaction, with the exception of the alternative settlement costing for loans.
If a loan that is activated using the alternative settlement costing process is costed, the determination of the average volume of the opportunity depends upon whether the type one cash flow disturbance is allowed in the costing rule.
- If the type one cash flow disturbance is allowed in the costing rule, the average volume of the opportunity is determined before the full disbursement and in the period of the full disbursement on the basis of the commitment cash flow. In the periods after the full disbursement, it is determined using the settlement- and cash flow disturbance- or rollover cash flows.
- If it not allowed in the rule, the average volume of the opportunity is always determined on the basis of the commitment cash flow.
Use
The average volume of the opportunity is used as the basis to determine the opportunity contribution and the interest revenue from the interim investment.
