Definition
The net present value of the average effective committed capital is a base value for calculating imputed costing components (risk costs, equity capital costs,...) within net present value calculation.
Use
The effective committed capital is calculated using the cash flow and the corresponding effective interest rate of the customer transaction. The effective committed capital is constant between two payment dates.
For the present value calculation, the effective capital at the payment dates is multiplied by the zerobond discounting factors on the valuation days and added up.
