Definition

The periodic effective capital of the Opportunity is determined as equal to the periodic effective capital of the transaction with the only exception being the alternative settlement costing for loans.

If a loan that has been activated using alternative settlement costing is costed, the determination of the periodic effective capital of the opportunity depends on whether the cash flow disturbance (type one) is allowed in the calculation rule.

  • If this is the case, the periodic effective capital of the opportunity is determined before the full disbursement and in the period of the full disbursement on the basis of the commitment cash flow; in the periods after the full disbursement it is calculated on the basis of the settlement- and cash flow disturbance- or rollover cash flows.
  • If the cash flow disturbance of the type one is not permitted, the periodic effective capital of the opportunity is determined on the basis of the settlement- and cash flow disturbance- or rollover cash flows.

Use

The periodic effective capital of the opportunity is used as the basis for the calculation of the basic amount to determine the Interest Earnings from Interim Investment of Open Commitment.
