Direct write-offs for uncollectible debts are posted in Financial Accounting and managed as profit and loss statement items.

Use

To determine the risk result, the actual risk costs are compared with the standard risk costs for default risks which are assigned to the individual transactions. The actual risk costs comprise the charges for bad debts and direct write-offs minus the revenue items such as income from written-off receivables and written-back provisions.
