Definition
If commission that requires distribution is transferred to SAP Banking, you need to specify the number of reporting periods across which distribution is to take place in this field.
Use
Commissions are not calculated in SAP Banking. You can import up to four different commission amounts per transaction and then distribute these amounts. To do this you need to maintain two pieces of information:
- The number of reporting periods over which the amount is to be distributed
- The commission amount you want to distribute
Each of the two fields is available four times. This information is used to determine the commission amount for the period within periodic costing.
The amount is distributed evenly, provided the number of allocation periods is greater than 1. With even distribution, the portion assigned to the reporting period is calculated by dividing the amount still to be distributed by the remaining periods.
The amount still to be distributed and the number of allocation periods are automatically corrected during the distribution process:
- The amount distributed in the period is deducted from the amount still to be distributed
- The number of allocation periods is reduced by 1.
Maintenance
If a commission amount is newly transferred before the commission has been fully distributed, the old amount is overwritten. The number of allocation periods is then determined by the number of distribution periods for the newly transferred amount.
