Documentation
Definition
The number of buying or selling flows for a position is provided as a base value for determining unit costs. The number is calculated as part of the periodic costing process. The number of units involved in the individual purchases and sales is not taken into account.
Example
If one purchase involving 20 units and two sales involving 30 and 40 units respectively, are transferred to IS-B for a position in a period, the corresponding 'Number of purchases' or 'Number of sales' is '1' or '2', as appropriate.
