Documentation
Definition
Determines that an infotype, or its subtype, is evaluated when periods are selected with this selection rule.
Use
General information
If a record exists for the specified infotype or subtype, the system generates a period using the validity period for the individual infotype records.
Time Specifications/Employment Period (0552)
The selection of periods from the Time Specifications/ Employment Period infotype (0552) differs from the selection from other infotypes. Depending on the definition of the time specification type in table T525T (Time Specification Type for Employment Period Calculation), you may receive both a period and a weighted period, or a date-based duration. The content of the selected data depends on the values in the Period/key date and Imputation columns in table T525T.
Dependencies
In the Infotype field, you can only select infotypes that are included in view V_T525Z ( Permissibility of Infotype Selection in Empl.Period Calc.) and have been assigned the Permissibility indicator.

Use
A valuation rule in the "infotype" category can be defined in two different ways:
- Valuation rule acc.to infotype existence. The system only checks for existence of the infotype. If the infotype exists, time intervals are created according to the validity periods of the respective infotype records. Specified valuation factors such as threshold value, weight, etc., are applied to these intervals.
- Valuation rule acc.to infotype selection condition The system checks the criteria specified in the infotype selection condition in addition to the actual existence of the infotype.
Procedure
Mark this radio button for 'Valuation rule acc.to infotype existence'.
Examples
Dependencies
If you select the "Infotype existence" option, you must enter an infotype and/or subtype.
