In Germany with the characteristic type 7 (entitlement to the adjustment amount according to §50 of the Public Sector Pensions Act) and the internal key 2 (entitlement to the adjustment amount).

In Switzerland with the characteristic types:

• 1 (Relationship to child)
• 2 (Child benefit authorization)
• 3 (Accommodation)

Here the individual internal keys mean:

• Characteristic type 1
• 0 Own child or stepchild
• 1 Adoptive child
• Characteristic type 2
• 0 No benefit
• 1 Child benefit
• 2 Training bonus
• 3 Child benefit for child permanently unable to work
• Characteristic type 3
• 0 Accommodation in Switzerland
• 1 Accommodation in a foreign country
