This interval icon indicates that you have already authorized intervals.

The icon is not displayed when you have authorization for everything * (asterisk), because the authorization for everything includes every other interval authorization.

Instead, a star icon is displayed, which indicates that you have all authorizations for the characteristic. This includes all hierarchy authorizations, which means the hierarchy icon is not displayed.
