Definition

The structure of an installed base is displayed as a tree structure in, amongst others, the Installed Base Management transactions (IB51-53).

In this field, you can set the name of the field that is displayed in the first column of each node of the tree structure. This setting can be made per client, installed base category and component type.

Technical Background

• You make the setting in the field for the first column of the tree structure nodes in Customizing, since this field cannot be influenced by changing the screen layout.
• The possible fields are contained in the structure IBOF2.
• The data is maintained in table T371W.
• The definition is valid for all places where the tree structure is displayed. This also means transactions other than those for Installed Base Management.
