Definition
The plus/minus sign specifies if a value should be added or subtracted.
Use
You use the plus/minus sign when creating totals value types. If a posting needs to be added to the total (standard case), select the positive value.
If the value needs to be subtracted, select negative. You need to do this if a value is posted positively to the account but is, in actual fact, a negative value.
Examples of negative values: pensions and advances.
