Documentation
Definition
The wage type category determines how the value is processed in payroll and in report RPUPENC0 Reconcile Individual PF Accounts With Payroll Results.
You can select the following values. Parameters C and D determine how values are processed for payments. All other parameters determine how values are processed for calculations.
- B - contributions
Origin of value: infotype 0279 Individual Values PF
Posting: created positively
The wage type assigned to a contribution value type is included as a deduction wage type in payroll.
- C - pensions
Pension payment from infotype 0279 Individual Values PF without updating the PF account
- D - pensions
Pension payment from infotype 0279 Individual Values PF without updating the PF account
The same as wage type category C; however, the infotype records of all personnel numbers that belong together in infotype 0031 are grouped together.
- R - pensions
Origin of value: payroll table RT, filled from payroll infotypes such as Basic Pay (0008) or Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014); the value type must also exist in a field of infotype 0279 Individual Values PF and have the same amount as in payroll.
Posting: created negatively
- P - pensions from payroll
Origin of value: payroll table RT; the value is not compared with infotype 0279 Individual Values PF.
Posting: created negatively
- N - arrears
Origin of value: payroll table IT
Posting: created positively
Arrears can be wage types that are extraordinary contributions and/or any other values that are calculated in payroll.
- I - base contribution values
Origin: the values are calculated by the interpreter during payroll; the appropriate wage types are transferred to the interpreter as a calculation basis.
This wage type category is not depicted in the cluster. It cannot be posted in the PF account. To post the value type, you must copy it to an evaluation wage type.
To ensure that the calculation can be started, at least one value type must be defined. - O - output contribution values
This value type is calculated on the basis of values transferred by wage types with key I, and then stored in the specified wage type. - K - account value
This value type is calculated by the interpreter, just like the value types of type O; however, the calculated value is only written to the PF account and is not transferred to payroll. Therefore, there is no need to assign a wage type. The calculated value is also transferred to the PF account by report RPUPENC0 Reconcile Individual PF Accounts With Payroll Results. - S - special payments
Origin of value: individual PF account
Wage types assigned to a special payment value type are used to transfer PF postings to Financial Accounting. A record of infotype 0579 External Payments is created on the basis of the respective values.
- T - special payments with main personnel number
Origin of value: individual PF account
The same as wage type category S; however, the system creates a record of infotype 0579 External Wage Components for the personnel number from infotype 0031 Reference Personnel Numbers that belongs to a payroll area whose status is "to be accounted".
The meaning of a value type is important to payroll. The question of whether a wage type causes data to be posted to an active or passive account is also important.
