Definition
Determines how a concurrently employed persons absence quotas are deducted.
Use
When deducting from a concurrently employed person's absence quotas, the system takes into account all absences quotas flagged for shared processing by all of the employee's personnel assignments and listed in the deduction rule. By selecting this field, you determine whether the assignment currently being processed should be given preference in the deduction sequence.
Field is Selected
When you select this field, all absence quotas belonging to the employees personnel assignment that is currently being processed are deducted according to the deduction priority determined by you.
The corresponding absence quotas for the employees other personnel assignments are not deducted until all absence quotas marked for shared processing for that personnel assignment under whose personnel number an employee has created an absence have been deducted.
Field is Not Selected
If you do not select this field, absence quotas relevant to concurrent employment are considered all together across all personnel assignments and deducted according to the deduction priority set by you. Simply put, the entitlements of all relevant absence entitlements are lumped together and deducted according to the rules set by you.
- For example, if you have given the absence quota types the highest deduction priority, the system uses the sequence of absence quotas you set in the Absence Quota Types area. It first deducts all absences quotas from all of the employees personnel assignments that are listed first. Then the next absence quota type is deducted. The absence quota type deducted first depends on the priority you have entered separately.
- For example, if you give the deduction end date the highest deduction priority, the system first deducts from the absence quota with the earliest deduction end date, even if it belongs to another personnel assignment.
Dependencies
To process absence quotas from multiple personnel assignments, it is required that:
- The relevant absence quotas are flagged for shared processing of multiple personnel assignments. For more information, see the Processing Multiple Employee Personnel Assignments. Unflagged absence quotas are ignored in this kind of processing.
- The absence to be deducted is flagged for shared processing of multiple personnel assignments. For more information, see
- The employee has created the absence to be deducted in a concurrent employment scenario.
- The personnel assignments are grouped for shared processing.
