Definition
This field contains a cost item. Cost items represent the different categories of costs that contribute to the overall cost of maintaining a staff, for example, salaries and pension contributions.
Cost items are based on either:
- wage types, which originate in Personnel Administration (PA), or
- wage elements, which originate within PD
The abbreviations, or codes that identify individual cost items are taken directly from the wage element or wage types that the cost item is based on.
