Definition
Country key in which values that are used to check entries, such as the length of the ZIP code or the length of the bank account number, are defined.
The two-character ISO code (in accordance with ISO 3166) proposed by SAP is normally used.
Other options include the country key for vehicles or a key that is typical for a particular country, such as the key for the Federal Statistical Office in Germany, for example.
The country keys are defined in the global settings during the system implementation.
The definition of the country key in the SAP system does not necessarily have to correspond to political units or states.
Since the country key does not always have to match the ISO code in all installations, programs that differentiate between certain values of the country key are not permitted to query the country key T005-LAND1, but must use the ISO code T005-INTCA for programming.
