In addition to single values, characteristic value variables also let you characterize intervals or SAP selection options with just one variable.
Selection options allow you to specify a single selection as a default value. You can then specify additional entries before you execute the report.
Characteristic value variables and formula variables also support the use of query results as the parameter selection. In this case, the variable is replaced by the result of the other query.
