The method of apportionment is used to determine how a garnishable amount is divided between several simulaneously-delivered garnishments/cessions.
Use
Possible entries:
By amount owed:
Apportionment of garnishable amount according to the debt
By number of garnishments:
Apportionment of garnishable amount according to the number of
garnishments
By percentage:
Apportionment of garnishable amount according to percentage
specification
The chosen method of apportionment is used in payroll.

Dependencies
Note the following dependencies:
- For apportionment type By percentage, you must enter the percentage rate for simultaneous delivery. For types By amount owed and By number of garnishments you can not enter the percentage rate.
- If there are other simultaneously delivered garnishments/cessions for a garnishment/cession, the field becomes a required entry field.
- The method of apportionment for all simultaneous garnishments/ cessions are compared and must correspond with each other.
