Definition
The workers' compensation association assigns hazard classes to the various hazard pay scales. The hazard class is the factor used to calculate an employee's remuneration, which in turn is used to calculate the company's contributions to the workers' compensation association. The hazard class is assigned to the employees using the "Hazard Pay Scale" field in infotype 0029 (Workers' Compensation Association) or the corresponding field in the definition of a construction site or auxiliary plant (construction pay payroll).
You can enter the hazard class that belongs to the hazard pay scale as a 4-place numeric field here. The field contents are interpreted as a factor with two places before the comma and two places after. Example: Hazard class 10,47 is entered as "1047"; hazard class 3.5 is entered as "0350".
This field is displayed to ensure compatibility with older datasets. When you create new hazard pay scales, you should enter the hazard class with decimal places in field Hazard Class xx.xx instead.
