Definition
One of the additional account assignments for insurance: Describes the assignment of insurance business to internal structures, such as Insurance Conclusion or Business (In-Force Business Management).
Use
In conjunction with the other additional account assignments for insurance and the standard SAP account assignments, this forms the basis for statutory reporting to the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
In Collections/Disbursements for Insurance, the additional account assignment fields are stored as document info when posting a document. When transferring to the General Ledger, they are transferred to a Special Ledger. They are available for evaluations there; for example, if an accounting clerk is looking for the information that is required for reporting to BaFin.
Dependencies
The function area is primarily required in financial cost allocation, to enable the assignment of costs using cost centers and cost types.
