Definition

All the enhancement packages for ERP 2005 use the same NetWeaver release. However, the DataSource information in BI Content is only encoded with the NetWeaver release. This prevents DataSources from being enhanced. This switch has been provided to deal with the problem.

It concerns the extraction logic of DataSouce 0CFM_CLASS_MASTER_DATA_ATTR.

If you are using the old version of this DataSource and you do not activate the switch, only the fields in the old DataSource version are filled.

If you want to use the enhancements, you should proceed as follows:

• Transfer the DataSource again from the BI Content (transaction RSA5)
• Replicate the DataSource in your BI system to then link it to the (possibly manually) enhanced target contents.
• Set this switch to activate the new extraction logic which also reads the time-dependent attributes, for example.
