Definition
Specifies, for a value of the Deficiency Type attribute, whether the system automatically calculates the Magnitude and the Classification during a deficiency analysis.
Use
Setting this indicator can be useful for deficiency types where the impact potential can be measured in financial terms.
Dependencies
If you set this indicator, the system calculates as follows:
- The magnitude is calculated using the impact potential entered by the user during the deficiency analysis, and from the threshold values that were specified for the deficiency analysis.
- The classification is based in turn on the magnitude that is determined, along with the likelihood that was entered in the deficiency analysis.
If you do not set the indicator, then the user has to select a value for the Magnitude attribute during the deficiency analysis. The system then uses this value to determine the classification, based on the Assignment of Magnitude to Classification attribute.
