Documentation
Definition
Specifies whether you want to display the technical status of jobs, remote jobs, and external jobs that are not integrated with the Financial Closing cockpit application.
Use
The Financial Closing cockpit application retrieves job status from schedule manager tables. SAP Note 1609030 describes how to integrate a program with the application by modifying the program code. If a program is integrated with the application, the application can display all the business statuses, such as active, except completed. If you have registered the program for the application in the Customizing activity Register Programs, the application can display the completed status.
However, not all the standard programs delivered by SAP are integrated with the Financial Closing cockpit application. For those that are integrated, they are already registered for the application by default. For those that are not, because you cannot modify standard programs delivered by SAP, the application cannot display their business status and can only display their status as unknown even if you have registered them for the application. This is the behavior in the 1.0 release.
SAP Financial Closing cockpit 2.0 introduces this Integrate Technical Status checkbox to address this issue for jobs, remote jobs, and external jobs. When the checkbox is selected, the application can retrieve and display the technical status of these types of tasks even if they are not integrated with the application. By default, the checkbox is not selected so that the behavior is the same with the 1.0 release: the application displays their status as unknown. If these types of tasks are integrated with the application, the application displays their business status regardless of whether this checkbox is selected.
Note that if this checkbox is selected, as soon as a non-integrated job, remote job, or external job is completed, its successors, if any, will start immediately if you have enabled such behavior for the successors when defining them (see Task Starts Immediately). Unlike the 1.0 release, you will not have the chance to first check the logs to verify that the job has been completed from the business perspective and then change its status manually from unknown to completed to trigger the automatic execution of the successors.
This checkbox has no effect on SAP CPS tasks. When the FCC_INTEGRATED
parameter is set, the system displays the status of SAP CPS tasks as unknown; otherwise it displays the technical status.
