Documentation
Definition
The Financial Closing cockpit application delivers the following task types:
- Job
You can use jobs to process activities in the background. You can start batch processing directly from the Financial Closing cockpit.
- Flow Definition
You use flow definitions to process multiple programs automatically without interruption. You combine such programs with variants to form a logical flow chain with predecessor and successor relationships.
- Transaction
You can include individual activities that are triggered by transactions during a process.
- Note
You use notes to simplify complex processes. For example, you can list the necessary organizational preliminary activities that cannot be portrayed in the system as a note. You can also communicate instructions to users regarding the parameters to use in the transactions.
- Program
The programs in a task list can be started and processed in the Financial Closing cockpit application.
- SAP CPS
You can create and schedule SAP Central Process Scheduling application by Redwood (SAP CPS) tasks to process tasks on other systems.
- Remote Transaction
You can create transactions that are run in remote systems.
- Remote Program
You can create programs that are run in remote systems.
- Remote Job
You can create jobs that are run in remote systems.
- External Job
You can create tasks that you use to monitor the jobs that are created or scheduled in a remote or the local system using external schedulers, such as IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, BMC Control-M, and UC4.
Note that tasks with this task type only retrieve information from systems. You cannot use them to perform any closing operations.
- Remote Flow Definition
You can schedule flow definitions in remote systems.
For more information about these task types, see SAP Library for SAP Financial Closing cockpit on SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com -> SAP Business Suite -> SAP ERP Add-Ons -> SAP Financial Closing Cockpit.
