Definition

In error-tolerant FIFO valuation, this percentage defines the threshold between the tolerance zone in which a material is not valuated and the tolerance zone in which an alternative value is used.

Use

Error-tolerant FIFO valuation provides different options that allow you to define how you want the system to react when the cumulative receipt quantity is less than the inventory quantity to be valuated. By specifying two percentages, you can define three tolerance zones: a zone in which the regular FIFO price is used, a zone in which an alternative value is used, and a zone in which a material is not regularly valuated.

Dependencies

Example

You have configured here that a material should not be valuated with the FIFO method if the cumulative receipt quantity is less than 50% of the inventory to be valuated. If the cumulative receipt quantity is above that but still below the second percentage, the system searches for an alternative value.

- Inventory quantity to be valuated: 200 pc

- Cumulative receit quantity: 90 pc

In this example the cumulative receipt quantity is 45% of the inventory. The system does not apply the FIFO method and generates a message for material.
