Definition

Specifies how many cents the amounts converted during the currency changeover must be divisible by. The rounding divisor can have a value between 0 and 999999.

Use

You only need to make an entry in this field if you want to specify how you want the system to round off amounts during the currency conversion. If you leave the field empty, the system rounds off the amounts automatically to two decimal places.

Dependencies

If you enter a rounding divisor in this field, you must also make an entry in the Rounding Type field.

Example

During the currency changeover, the system converts the amount DEM 201.92 to EUR 103.2400566511.

Depending on how you want to round off this euro amount, you can enter the following rounding divisors:

  • You want to round up the amount to the next 20 cents.
As rounding divisor, enter 20. In addition, you must enter the value + (Round Up) in the Rounding Type field.
    The result is EUR 103.40.
  • You want to round the amount up or down to the nearest whole euro.
Enter the rounding divisor 100. In addition you must enter the value K (To Nearest) in the Rounding Type field.
    The result is EUR 103.00.
  • You want the system to automatically round the amount up or down.
Do not enter a rounding divisor, and do not make an entry in the Rounding Type field.
    The result is EUR 103.24.
