This setting has an effect on the data environment of the Customer Interaction Center (CIC), the info block of the IS-U data in the factsheet (FS) of CRM, and in the HTML customer information.
a) In the CIC (data environment in navigation area), the system terminates the selection by overwriting the maximum number of contract accounts and via the filter mechanism, requires a restriction on the data environment. Via an icon, you can see that this is currently a reduced data environment. However, you can restrict this data environment to a different contract account for the confirmed business partner at any time using other criteria.
b) In the HTML customer overview and in the Customer Factsheet (IS-U 4.71, CRM 4.0 and subsequent), the CIC data collector of the data environment is also used. It is used to construct the info block for the IS-U data for the business partner in CRM.
If more contract accounts are found for the business partner (than defined here), the data collection is also terminated (to avoid a runtime error in compiling the CRM Factsheet) and a corresponding information message is output in the Factsheet. As before, the HTML customer overview only displays one contract account.
