Definition

Stipulates how attributes, which can be filled for objects on different hierarchy levels, should be summarized in the evaluation.

Use

Attributes can exist for one object or for the lower-level objects as well. If you want summarization to occur for these attributes, you must define whether the attribute on the highest hierarchy level should be included in the summarization. The following rules exist:

• Ignore higher level

  The attribute in the highest hierarchy level is ignored during summarization.

• Include higher level

  The attribute in the highest hierarchy level is included during summarization.

Dependencies

Specify this only if an attribute in the hierarchy should be summarized.

Example

In the Project Management application, the summarization resolution is used as follows:

• A higher level is included for the number of documents.
• The higher level is ignored for the actual start and the actual finish.
