Definition
Master data templates can have the following statuses:
A: Active
R: Released
O: Obsolete
' ': Unspecified

' ' Unspecified:
Status of master data template after having been copied.
- The status is permitted for all master data templates.
- The master data template cannot execute unspecified master data templates.
- Unspecified master data templates cannot be executed as a part of CRM processes.
- You can edit these master data templates.
- You can change them as necessary.
A: Active:
Status of master data template once created.
- The status is permitted for all master data templates.
- The master data template can execute active master data templates.
- Active master data templates cannot be executed as a part of CRM processes.
- You can edit these master data templates.
- You can change the status from active to Released.
R: Released
Released master data templates must be allocated to a CRM product. Note that a CRM product can have one released master data template only. Do not set the status of a master data template to Released until you have tested the template and it is free of errors.
- This status is only permitted for master data templates in which you have selected the CRM-Compatible field of the master data template category.
- The master data generator can execute released master data templpates.
- CRM processes can trigger released master data templates.
- You cannot change released master data templates.
- You can only change the status from released to Obsolete.
O: Obsolete:
Status of master data templates whose status you have changed from Released. You cannot reactivate obsolete templates. You can only copy them to create new master data templates or use them for documentation.
- This status is only permitted for master data templates in which you have selected the CRM-Compatible field of the master data template category.
- You can only execute obsolete master data templates in exceptional circumstances.
- CRM processes can only trigger obsolete master data templates in execptional circumstances, for example changes to an existing move-out date. You cannot use an obsolete master date templates to create a new CRM contract item.
- You cannot change obsolete master data templates.
- You cannot change the status of obsolete master data templates.
