Documentation

Definition

Counting classes provide a utility in payroll. They are used to form "buckets" to valuate paid and unpaid absences:

  1. for period factoring - to determine a reduction in salary for unpaid
    absences
  2. to generate statistics and for cost accounting.

Supplementary Documentation - DZLKLS 0001

Use

You can enter up to ten counting classes.

Procedure

Example

For statistical or cost accounting purposes, you can assign paid leave to one counting class, and paid sickness to another.

Dependencies

Supplementary Documentation - DZLKLS 0002

Use

For recipients of sick pay, you must enter the net pay of the last full month before the illness began in this field. If this is not possible for the current year, leave the field blank.

The system evaluates the counting class of the assigned absence type to recognize recipients of sick pay. In the model Customizing settings, the counting class is 23. You can also enter other counting classes in the selection screen if you want them to be used in the evaluation.
