Definition
Describes the destination of the SRM system used by the Project Management system to read the categories when it creates a shopping cart. This setting is mandatory for using SRM integration in Project Management.
Use
When you create a shopping cart, you have to specify an SRM category in Project Management that exists at this time and is reliable. Therefore, the Project Management system has to read the categories at runtime from the SRM source system defined here.
Note:
- Only local categories from the SRM source system are permitted, that is, you cannot use categories distributed from a different SRM system.
- Some categories only support the procurement of materials (product type 01) or external resources (product type 02). If no product type has been defined for a category, both types of procurement are permitted.
Dependencies
- In addition to this setting, the SRM source system must also be registered in the System Landscape Directory (SLD) to guarantee the message choreography via XI.
- Make sure that the same SRM system is defined in both cases.
