Definition
When uploading master data, it is initially stored in the modified version. Older entries are only replaced after activating the master data, and new entries are available in the BEx Analyzer for Reporting. If you select Display modified structures, you can check at this point how the data would look in Reporting after activation.
Using key date with time-dependent characteristics, you determine when you want to read time-dependent master data. The current date is entered by default.
Example
The attribute values for a characteristic are valid from 01.01.2000 to 01.06.2000, after that the attributes have different values. If you select the key date between 1.1.200 and 1.6.2000, you get a different result in the list output than if you entered a later date.
