Definition
Key for an activity that is executed for recipient determination for correspondence.
Use
When correspondence creation is executed, a check is made on the master data to see whether alternative or additional correspondence recipients have been defined.
These correspondence recipients can:
- Be defined directly by specifying the business partner
- Or a calculation formula can be defined to determine the correspondence recipient.
- In this case, the defined activity determines the calculation formula to be used.
A function module is assigned to the activity in Customizing.
Examples
After a third dunning notice has been issued for an auto insurance policy, an insurance company would like to inform the auto registration center about the loss of coverage.
An activity can now be entered to enter the auto registration center as an additional correspondence recipient for every policyholder.
This activity can run from the master data for any policyholder, to determine the place of residence and license plate number and the appropriate auto registration center for the runtime.
