Consistency check on customer-specific data for the IDoc Copy Management tool.
Use
To use the IDoc Copy Management tool you require customer-specific maintenance of table TWPCOPY with view V_TWPCOPY. This view enables you to assign customers to reference ship-to parties. Outbound IDocs that were created for references can be copied and sent to the assigned customers.
By activating the indicator, a separate check can be performed on the consistency of the copy process. This way, inconsistencies that can lead to errors during the copy process can be caught and rectified in time.
There are different points in the copy process relating to data maintenance that you should bear in mind:
- A PSS port must be assigned to the reference ship-to party (WDL_COPY_LOG)
- File ports must be assigned to the customers as recipients of the copies
- All customers assigned to a reference must be assigned to one and the same file port
- The partner profile for the customers must be maintained in such a way that IDocs are collected first; the tool takes over the shipping automtiaclly
- The partner profile for the reference ship-to party should be maintained so that IDocs are sent immediately after the reference IDoc is created. Otherwise the shipping has to be triggered manually after the reference IDoc is created.
These conditions are checked in the consistency check. If one of the conditions is not fulfilled, the Copy Management tool terminates with a log or it is not even started as long as the copy logic is activated.
Note: If the reference IDocs are to be sent to the file port too, you should include this in the view maintenance V_TWPCOPY. In other words, the reference must be mapped on itself by an entry in table TWPCOPY. The reference IDocs are then sent to the same port as the customers assigned to it, although only one PSS port is maintained for the reference.
