Definition
If a corporation has all of its businesses under common control, then the tax company of the controlling business must be identified here. This information is required for the system to determine whether the $1,000,000 supplemental wage threshold has been exceeded for employees who during the year have moved from one tax company to another.
Provided that the corresponding tax company has been specified, the system will consider the controlling tax company during the calculation of supplemental wages paid to the employee during the current year, rather than the tax company derived from the employee's current organizational assignment.
