Definition
Determines if the unique identification for a real estate would be generated internally or must be entered by the user.
Use
The value that you select is used internally in the generation and validation of identification numbers for real estates.
Dependencies
You must specify the number range assignment type for a real estate type in the Implementation Guide (IMG) activity Assign Number Ranges to Real Estate Types.
Example
Collateral Management provides three number range assignment types:
Internal - For each real estate type, you must specify a number range interval. The system assigns a unique identification from this number range interval to each real estate created for the real estate type.
External and within a specified range: You must specify an own identification which is then validated internally against the number range interval maintained for the real estate type.
External Free text/number entry : You can specify a number or a free text of your choice as an identifier. No validations are performed against entries for this number assignment type.
