Example
Some possible reasons can be:
- Expiry of the validity period.
- Repayment of the receivable; Loan waiver by the bank (collateral taker).
In a typical scenario for guarantees, if the guarantor serves a termination notice to the bank, the outstanding amount for the loans of the guarantee, as on the date of receipt of the termination notice, will be the guarantee amount. However, the guarantee would still be valid for the period of the loan.
