Definition
Determines if the unique identifier for a right is generated internally or must be entered by the user.
Use
The value that you choose in this field is used internally in the number ranges function module, for generating and validating identification numbers. Collateral Management provides three number range assignment types:
Internal - For each right type, you must specify a number range interval. The system assigns a unique ID from this number range interval to each right created for the specified right type.
External and within a specified range: You specify a right ID and the system validates if the ID exists in the number range interval specified for the right type of the right.
External Free text/number entry: You can specify a number or a free text of your choice as an identifier. No validations are performed against entries for this number assignment type.
