Documentation
Definition
Determines the type of relationship defined for a collateral agreement type.
Use
The relationship type that you select determines the internal collateral processes including the calculations. Effectively, a relationship type can determine:
If the portions of the current collateral agreement are used in the relationship by another collateral agreement
OR
If the current collateral agreement uses the portions of the other collateral agreement specified in the relationship.
Dependencies
You can define relationship types in the Implementation Guide (IMG) activity Define Relationship Types.
Example
For example, the relationship types Is a member and Is a back up determine that portions of the current collateral agreement are assigned for use in the other collateral agreement.
Alternatively, the relationship types Has member and Has back up determine that the current collateral agreement uses the portions of the other collateral agreement in the relationship.
