Documentation
Definition
Specifies the enforcement amount that a bank agrees to when joining a liquidation process.
Use
The joining amount must be the amount to be redeemed using a liquidation measure. This amount may be less than the debt in arrears. Normally, the enforcement amount will be fixed at the start of the liquidation measure. During the interim period of the liquidation measure, some interest amount may have been accrued. If a bank joins an existing liquidation measure, it may account for the interest accrued to fix the enforcement amount.
Dependencies
Example
Consider the scenario where the enforcement amount is 10,000 EUR and an interest of 2000 EUR is accrued before another bank joins the liquidation measure. In such a scenario, the bank joining the existing liquidation measure may have to fix the enforcement amount as 12000 EUR.
