Definition
Determines if the receivables belong to own or to an external bank, which is used internally to set the relevant receivable type for a collateral agreement. The possible organizational roles are:
Collateral Given - The bank is the owner of the collateral object; a receivable type Own is internally assigned to the collateral agreement. This allows automatic assignment to receivables (using the rules).
Collateral Taken - The bank is the receiver of the receivable; a receivable type Other is internally assigned to the collateral agreement. You must manually assign receivables.
External Collateral Agreement - An external bank is the owner of the collateral object (such as the encumbrances created by external claims on a collateral agreement). So a receivable type Other is internally assigned to the collateral agreement. You must manually assign receivables.
Use
The settings for organizational role and the flag global are used internally to determine the declaration or purpose for a collateral agreement. The following possibilities exist:
Organization Role Indicator for Flag Global Declaration of Purpose
Collateral Taken * * (space) Narrow
Collateral Taken X Wide
Collateral Given * * (space) Narrow
Collateral Given X Narrow
External CAG * * (space) Narrow
External CAG X Narrow
Dependencies
You specify the organizational role in the Implementation Guide (IMG) activity Define Collateral Agreement Types.
You can choose to ignore the Customizing values set for organizational role and the flag global. For this, you must specify portion restrictions for the relevant collateral agreement portions. You can define portion restrictions in the Implementation Guide (IMG) activity Define Portion Restrictions.
