Definition
Determines that the collateral agreement identifier is to be specified by the user.
Use
You can use the number range assignment types to determine if an identifier for a collateral agreement must be generated internally or must be specified by the user.
Collateral Management provides the following two types of external number range assignment types:
- External and within a Specified Range: You can enter a number that is validated against the number range interval defined for the specified entity type.
- External Number of Free Text Entry: You can enter any number or text of your choice.
Dependencies
Maintaining external number ranges the following steps:
- Define number range intervals for agreement types in the Implementation Guide (IMG) activity Define Number Ranges. In this activity, you must check the flag Externall to specify an external interval. You can define any number of intervals for an agreement type.
- Additionally, in the Implementation Guide (IMG) activity,Assign Number Ranges to Collateral Agreement Types,
- Select an existing number range interval using input help on the field.
- Select the appropriate external number assignment type.
