Definition

Specifies the value of the collateral agreement that is used as assessment value in all internal collateral processes, including the calculations.

Use

The assessment amount is used internally in the calculation of the assessment value.

Dependencies

The assessment value calculation depends on the valuation type that you specify in the Implementation Guide (IMG) activity Define Collateral Agreement Types. The calculations for each valuation type are as follows :

Percentage asset value

Assessment value = minimum of (charge * lending value of the asset * percentage of the asset value) and (assessment amount)

Note : If more than one assets are charged, then the value of the charge is calculated for each asset and summed up for all the assets. The charge value can be maintained as amount or percentage.

Assessment amount

Assessment value = assessment amount

Percentage receivable value

Assessment value = guarantee value (where guarantee value = guarantee rate * receivable contract capital / 100)

Note : You can maintain asset value percentage in the collateral agreement only if the you have set the valuation type to Percentage asset value.
