Definition

Specifies the independent legal unit in an organization for an entity object (collateral object, collateral agreement or receivable).

Use

You can define bank area as an indenpendent legal organizational entity in Collateral Management.

As part of the organizational settings, you must specify the bank area and the administration organizational unit when you create new objects in the Collateral Management workbench.

The currency of the bank area is used as the house currency, for all internal collateral processes. If the bank area currency is not maintained, the client currency is used as the house currency.
