Definition

Specifies the unique identifier of an asset type.

Use

The asset type is used internally to identify the collateral object, whose characteristics (such as object value, lending rates, business partners and documents), are used in the for internal collateral processes in Collateral Management.

Dependencies

You define asset types in the implementation guide (IMG) activity Define Asset Types. In this activity, you must assign each asset type to an asset category. This assignment determines the internal behavior of an asset.

In the Customizing of collateral object types, you must choose an existing asset type for each collateral object type.
