An employee retires. He or she owns granted awards whose term of award runs out in a year's time, in other words the awards expire in one year.
You have defined Retirement as a life event type and want a new term of award of two years to be valid when this life event occurs.
In this example the original term of award would be extended by one year. However, you do not want the changed term of award to lead to an extension of the original term.
You depict this situation by making the following settings:
Award : STCK (stock options)
Life Event Type : Retirement
