Definition
Indicates the type of amount that the system calculates for Payroll when an employee exercises his or her vested awards.
You can take the exercise of awards into account in two different ways in Payroll:
- Completely in Payroll
Payment of the exercise price for the shares and the payment to the employee of proceeds from the sale of the shares are processed in Payroll.
The amount types A, B, and C are relevant for this type of processing.
- Partially in Payroll
Payment of the exercise price for the shares and payment to the employee of the proceeds from the sale of the shares are processed outside Payroll, for example via a stock broker or bank. Payroll simply ensures that taxes and social contributions are calculated correctly.
The amount types G and H are relevant for this type of processing.
The system calculates total amounts for the individual amount types as follows:
- A - Total exercise price of not sold awards
Number of awards whose underlying shares have not been sold * exercise price per award.
This award is relevant for complete processing in Payroll.
- B - Imputed income from not sold awards
Number of awards whose underlying shares have not been sold * (market value per share at exercise - exercise price per award).
This award is relevant for complete processing in Payroll.
- C - Profit from sale of awards
Number of awards whose underlying shares have been sold * (market value per share at exercise - exercise price per award).
This amount type is relevant for complete processing in Payroll.
- D - Exercise price per award (for information only)
- E - Market value per award at exercise (for information only)
Market value of share underlying award on day of exercise.
- F - Market value per award at sale (for information only)
Market value of share underlying award on day of sale.
- G - Imputed income from sold and not sold awards
Number of shares obtained from exercise * (market value per share at exercise - exercise price per award).
This amount type is relevant for partial processing in Payroll.
- H - Deduction for taxes and social contributions
Value from the Deduction field in the record of the Award infotype (0382).
This award type is relevant for partial processing in Payroll.
