Use
The system uses the threshold value to decide if the due date should be based on the due date schedule (payment by installments) or on a specific time limit (lump-sum payment):
- If the fee calculation result exceeds the threshold value, the system uses the due date schedule.
- If the fee calculation result equals the threshold value or is below it, the system derives the due date from the time limit. The full amount is then due on this date.
The threshold value always refers to the relevant fee calculation period.
Dependencies
If you enter a threshold value, you must also specify a currency and the time limit from which the system should derive the due date.
You can also enter a time interval (number and unit) if you want to move the due date.
Example
Your university requires students to pay their tuition fees in three installments. Fees of 100 euros or less are to be paid in a lump sum. You can map this in the system by entering a threshold value of 100 euros.
